In addition to the three main restaurants where international buffets are served for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Kuramathi offers seven à la carte restaurants offering a range of cuisine to suit all palates. For something more romantic, why not book a dinner for two at our Serenade pavilion or enjoy a sumptuous lobster dinner on a secluded corner of the beach. 

Six bars around the island serve classical and tropical cocktails. Depending on your mood, choose to watch stingray feedings, listen to mellow sounds of our two-piece band or while away the day sipping flavorful concoctions. Be spoilt for choice.

ACTIVITIES 

Diving

Kuramathi is blessed by having an amazing Hammerhead Shark Point a mere eight minutes away by boat – one of the few remaining places in the world where you can still see these magnificent creatures.

Comfort and convenience for diving guests is assured with fast, modern dive boats that reach more than 20 local dive sites in an average boat ride of just 15 minutes. Our local Rasdhoo atoll trips are supplemented by half day and full day trips to dive some of the best sites in neighbouring North Ari atoll.

Our experienced, multi-lingual dive team provides a friendly and professional service to our guests and our enthusiastic instructors will inspire beginners to discover this amazing liquid world while learning to dive with SSI or PADI. Experienced divers will also find challenging dives with many types of sharks, mantas, turtles, rays, napoleons, barracuda, trevally and tuna as well as many of the smaller, but no less interesting inhabitants of the reef.

Our knowledgeable team is complemented by the resident marine biologist divemaster and the Eco Centre where you can find out everything you want to know about marine life. We also provide nitrox for free to offer divers that extra safety margin and we are well-supported by the Kuramathi Medical Centre and Hyperbaric Chamber.

Water Sports

Go on an adrenaline filled adventure while you play in the sparkling turquoise lagoon of Kuramathi. Our water sports caters to everyone’s needs from serene cruises on a catamaran, to vigorous wake boarding sessions. Engage in a wide range of non-motorised water sports including windsurfing, stand-up paddle surfing and kayaking. For those keen on thrill and excitement, try water skiing, banana rides or fun tubes.

Excursions

Join our excursions for some excitement or to discover the Maldives and the traditional way of life of its inhabitants. A full range of excursions is available ranging from island hopping, visits to local islands, snorkeling trips, sunset cruise and big game fishing.

Island Hopping

This is a perfect opportunity to experience more of the Maldives. During the day we visit a local fishing Island (Ukulhas), another resort Island (Veligandu) and a beautiful desert island (Madivaru) where we stop for a BBQ lunch and walk to the sandbank.

Sunset Cruise

A must do! Take this chance to enjoy fiery Maldivian sunsets with a glass of sparkling wine. Don’t forget to take your cameras, as you may just bump into some dolphins.

Cultural Experience

Thoddoo is quite different from many of the other local islands. Set in its own tiny atoll, the island is an agricultural island, where they grow watermelon, papaya, melon, bananas and vegetables. We spend our time with a local farmer who will answer your questions, and we also visit a school, an old Mosque, and learn about the Island daily life. Finally we visit one of Thoddoo’s idyllic beaches where we can relax whilst enjoying a coconut and cool down in the sea.

Parasailing

A must do whilst in the Maldives! What better way to view the colors of the Indian Ocean and the islands of Rasdhoo Atoll. A perfect photo opportunity! Go as a single or a double. Some lucky people see dolphins jumping below them!

Evening Entertainment

Night life in Kuramathi is abundant, ranging from the resident live band, starlit discos by the resident DJ, movie nights on the beach, and two-piece musicians orchestrating the enticing entertainment Kuramathi has to offer our guests.
